SAFETY & DRIVING AIDS

Blind Spot Monitoring warns the driver of the presence of another vehicle in the blind spot zones of his PEUGEOT Boxer, when this presents a potential danger.
The alert is given by a warning light which comes on in the rear-view mirror on the side concerned, as soon as a vehicle (car, truck, cycle) is detected.

The Blind Spot Monitoring system is supplemented by the "Trailer Merge Assist". This new feature ensures the blind spot monitoring service while taking into account the size of a trailer (adjustment between 3 and 9 meters).
The information is returned to the handset.

The "Rear Traffic Alert" is a new feature from the Blind Spot Monitoring system. This innovation makes it possible to detect vehicles within a distance of 50 m coming from the left or the right when reverse gear is engaged.
The information is reproduced audibly in the passenger compartment.

The "Distance Alert" function (collision risk alert) warns the driver that their vehicle is at risk of colliding with the vehicle in front of them in their lane.

This visual and audible alert occurs just before the triggering of the "Active Safety Brake".

"Active Safety Brake" (automatic emergency braking) intervenes after the alert from the "Distance Alert" function, if the driver does not react quickly enough and does not apply the vehicle's brakes.
It thus contributes, without driver action, to avoiding a collision or limiting its severity by reducing the speed of the vehicle. The Active Safety Brake operates if:

  ● The vehicle speed is between 5 km/h and 140 km/h when a moving vehicle is detected.
  ● The vehicle speed does not exceed 80 km/h when a stationary vehicle is detected.

"Hill Descent Control" (HDC) is a descent assistance function allowing you to perfectly and safely control your vehicle and its trajectory on steep slopes.
The system is innovative because it can keep the vehicle at a very low speed (3 km/h), providing control and safety.

The Involuntary Line Crossing Alert (ILCA) is a system that detects, using a camera that recognizes continuous or discontinuous lines, the involuntary crossing of a longitudinal marking on the ground of traffic lanes.
The camera analyzes the image then triggers, if the driver's attention drops and the speed exceeds 60 km/h, a visual alert in the event of a deviation from the direction.
